Professional Experience
Julia has been with the firm since 2005 and works closely with Hanaan Indari, a partner of Carroll & O’Dea. Julia has extensive experience in a wide variety of litigation matters including Estate litigation and during her time she has worked primarily in the Compensation Law division and has developed a practice in all aspects of this area of law. In addition to this, she has been involved in commercial litigation for the firm and matters relating to the Succession Act.
Julia has also successfully pursued litigation on behalf of refugees who have been mistreated whilst in detention; or have been wrongfully detained. This is a complex and developing area of litigation and Julia successfully completed one of the first cases of this kind. Julia has the ability to handle all matters including very complex litigation. Clients respond well to Julia’s approach to their cases. Julia is a skilful lawyer who is very personable and compassionate with clients.
Professional Background
Julia was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2008. Julia obtained her law degree, with Honours, from Macquarie University. She commenced at Carroll & O’Dea in 2005 and was made an Associate of the firm in June 2010.
Julia is a member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance.
