Current Practice
Patricia leads the Intellectual Property Group and has 20 years experience in commercial and property law and is a member of the Property and Business Services Group at Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers.
Professional Experience
Patricia advises universities, not for profit organisations, schools, land developers, small to medium sized enterprises and individuals on commercial, property and intellectual property issues.
Patricia’s experience includes advising on property acquisition and development issues and leasing (both retail and commercial), licenses, small to medium sized business asset transfers including conducting due diligence and joint venture arrangements.
Patricia also specialises expertise in the negotiation and drafting of intellectual property licensing arrangements and assignments and the protection of intellectual property.
Patricia is currently involved in the management, protection and commercialisation of indicia associated with the Blessed Mary MacKillop.
Professional Qualifications
Patricia has a combined degree in commerce and law and was admitted to the profession in 1990. She joined Carroll and O'Dea in 2004, was made an Associate in 2008 and a Partner in 2011. Patricia is a member of the Intellectual Property Association of Australia and New Zealand Inc. Patricia is an active member of Carroll & O’Dea’s Not for Profit Group and Innovation Group.
