Professional Experience
Catherine joined Carroll & O’Dea in February 2010, having previously worked as Associate to Federal Court Justices Tamberlin and Perram.
Catherine was admitted to practice in 2009, and before that time worked as a paralegal at a local Wollongong firm, in the areas of compensation law and litigation. She also has experience in debt recovery, criminal law and family law.
Catherine has a strong interest in helping members of the community access justice.  She spent 12 months as a volunteer paralegal at the Redfern Legal Centre, whilst completing her law degree. Catherine continues this commitment by volunteering with the Illawarra Legal Centre, where she is also a member of the Management Committee.
Catherine is permanently situated at our Wollongong office. She is a local from Wollongong, having attended school at The Illawarra Grammar School. Catherine has strong ties to the local community, and is committed to providing practical and reliable legal services to the Illawarra.

Professional Background
Catherine completed a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) from the University of Wollongong, majoring in Literature.  Catherine further completed her Bachelor of Law at the University of Sydney, graduating with Honours in 2007.  She completed her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the University of Wollongong in 2008.
