Damian is a solicitor/advocate specialising in litigation and has appeared in lengthy coronial matters, as well as appearing in criminal matters in the Local Court.
Professional Experience
After being admitted to practice in 1983, Damian practised with Newcastle’s then leading union based firm for a period of eight years. He then joined a firm in the Newcastle suburbs acting for a broad spectrum of clients. In 1996 he joined the leading Newcastle firm appearing for coal mines, becoming a Partner in 2001. He continued to appear on behalf of coal mines in all litigation matters until 2010. He joined Carroll & O’Dea in January 2011.
Damian regularly presents papers to other practitioners through the mandatory CLE program through the University of NSW in his fields of specialty.
Professional Background
Damian completed his Bachelor of Laws at Sydney University. He was admitted as a solicitor on 5 August 1983 and became an Accredited Specialist in 2008.
