We are glad to welcome Patricia Monemvasitis to her new role as a partner of Carroll & O’Dea lawyers.

Patricia will head our intellectual property law team with a dual focus on the commercial aspect of intellectual property and the protection of intellectual property. Her appointment reflects the firm’s commitment to furthering expertise in this area of legal practice.

Patricia also has 20 years experience in commercial and property law and is a member of the Property and Business Service Group at Carroll & O’Dea. Patricia’s commercial experience enables her to deliver practical, client based solutions to meet their legal requirements.

Patricia advises universities, not-for-profit organisations, schools, land developers, small to medium sized enterprises and individuals on a range of commercial, property and intellectual property issues.

In the last few years at Carroll & O’Dea, Patricia has been involved in the management, protection and commercialisation of indicia associated with Saint Mary MacKillop.

Patricia has a combined degree in commerce and law and was admitted to the profession in 1990. She joined Carroll & O’Dea as a solicitor in 2004 and was made an associate in 2008 having previously conducted her own legal practice.

Patricia is a member of the Intellectual Property Association of Australia and New Zealand Incorporated and is an active member of Carroll & O’Dea’s Not-for-Profit and Innovation Groups.

We believe that Patricia’s appointment as a partner will help assure our continued strength in the Property-Commercial area.
