An exciting opportunity exists for a Document Construction / MS Word expert to join our Legal Systems Team. The successful applicant will help to develop and maintain the Firm's precedents and build workflows in Caseflow the Firm’s Case Management software which, amongst other things, provides document automation.
This position will suit a candidate with 4 years plus experience working in a precedents, secretarial or word processing role or a candidate with exceptional word processing skills looking for a change.
The position reports to the IT Manager and the main responsibilities include:
· Creating, formatting and automating template documents
· Working with Caseflow to help build case management workflows
· Working with legal staff to maintain case management documents
· Working on the precedents helpdesk, fixing corrupt documents
· Reviewing and updating precedents related training materials
· Assisting with conducting staff induction and ongoing training
· Assisting on precedents related projects
· Various administrative tasks to support the efficient operation of the team
The successful applicant would ideally have:
· Advanced skills in MS Word including the ability to write complex IF statements
· High level knowledge of MS Excel, MS Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
· Knowledge and experience with Caseflow
· High level of accuracy and attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills and a great customer service ethic
· An ability to work in a Team environment
· A confidential, service oriented approach
· Ability to write macros and a knowledge of Visual Basic an advantage
· Previous document automation experience an advantage
· Previous experience working in a professional service firm, ideally a legal office
· A calm and logical approach to problem solving.
