Litigation & dispute resolution.
Howard Harrison is the Managing Partner of Carroll & O'Dea. He joined the
firm in 1979 and has been a partner since 1984 and became Managing Partner in
2007.
His expertise covers litigation and in particular, compensation law. Howard
has practised in the areas of Litigation and Dispute Resolution with Carroll
& O'Dea for 25 years. Howard regularly appears in Commissions, the District
Court, Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal
He is accredited as a specialist in personal injury by the Law Society of
NSW. In light of his extensive experience and professional standing in the area
of Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Howard has been asked to serve on a number
of professional committees, including the Sheller Miller Reform Committee.
He is currently the Legal Representative on the Workers Compensation and
Workplace Occupational Health and Safety Council of NSW and a member of the
inaugural Workers Compensation Commission user Group.
Howard has been a consultant with CCH Australia in respect of their legal
services and regularly presents papers for the College of Law, New South Wales
Young Lawyers and University of Western Sydney.
Howard was awarded the Edmund Rice Bicentenary Medal for "extraordinary
support given to the Mission of the Christian Brothers". Howard has a
Bachelor of Economics and Master of Laws from the University of Sydney. Howard
was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1979.
