Current Practice
Tony Mannah specialises in compensation law and has extensive experience in all
the different claims which this area of law covers. In particular, he
specialises in Comcare matters, practising in the Administrative Appeals
Tribunal and Federal Court of Australia.
Professional Experience Tony was
admitted as a legal practitioner in 1992 and joined Carroll & O'Dea in
1995.
Tony's particular area of specialty is acting for individuals who have claims
under the Commonwealth's Comcare scheme. He is an experienced advocate and
practitioner in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal ("AAT") and an
active participant in meetings held by the AAT for practitioners.
Tony has conducted numerous landmark cases which have set precedents both in the
Administrative Appeals Tribunal and in the Federal Court of Australia.
Professional Background Tony has
a Bachelor of Arts from the University of NSW and a Bachelor of Laws from
University of Sydney. He is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New
South Wales. He is a former President of the National Union of Lebanese
Australian Students (NULAS). Tony is fluent in Arabic and able to converse in
French.
