Litigation and Dispute Resolution Professional Experience Paul
Ohm specialises in Litigation and Dispute Resolution. Since his
admission to legal practice in 1990 Paul has gained a wealth of
experience working with mid to large city law firms in the area of
Litigation and Dispute Resolution. He is accredited as a
specialist in his field by the Law Society of NSW. Paul has had
extensive experience acting for both plaintiffs and defendant
insurers. With this combined experience he brings a balanced
approach to his client's matters - an ability to see the matters "from
both sides". Since joining Carroll & O'Dea in March 2002 Paul
has conducted many high profile and complex cases. He is an
experienced advocate who appears regularly in interlocutory matters in
the District Court, Supreme Court of NSW and the Federal Court of
Australia.
By virtue of his standing in the profession, Paul
has been selected as a member of the Law Society's Peer Interview Panel
for the selection of accredited specialists in the area of personal
injury law. This Panel is responsible for the selection of
lawyers to be appointed as accredited specialists in personal injury
law and Paul's appointment to the Panel reflects the high regard
members of the Legal Profession have for his skills and experience.
Paul has also appeared in the Court of Arbitration for Sport where he
acted for former Olympian, Phillip Adams.
Professional Background Paul
has a Bachelor of Arts degree and Bachelor of Laws degree from the
University of New South Wales. He is admitted as a legal practitioner
of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of
Australia. Paul is a member of the Australian Plaintiff Lawyers
Association. Paul joined Carroll & O'Dea in March 2002,
became an Associate in July 2004 and is now solicitor within the
firm with sole responsibility for the Parramatta office. Paul's
practice is based predominantly in Parramatta, but he also sees
clients in our CBD office.
