Professional Experience
Michelle is an experienced compensation lawyer, who has worked in all areas of compensation law, as both a Plaintiff lawyer and a Defendant lawyer. Michelle is one of our lawyers who is permanently situated at our Wollongong office. Michelle is a local from Wollongong, having attended secondary school at Smiths Hill High School.

Michelle was admitted to practice in 2004 and before that time worked as a law clerk at a large insurance law firm during her legal studies. In addition to working at a large insurance law firm, Michelle has had experience in the banking and finance areas of law, having been a member of an in-house legal team for a large financial institution. In addition to that, Michelle has experience working in compensation for a large local manufacturer. She has also had experience in debt recovery, liquor licensing, criminal law and family law at another firm before joining Carroll & O’Dea.

Professional Qualifications
Michelle gained her legal qualifications from the NSW Legal Practitioners Admission Board. In addition to her well rounded legal skills, Michelle has an avid interest and expertise in speedway and drag racing. Michelle joined Carroll & O'Dea in 2009 in the Wollongong practice.
