Media Release – Carroll & O’Dea expands Newcastle Office and opens in Port Stephens

Published on November 23, 2015

Port Stephens will benefit from being part of statewide law firm following the announcement of the merger between Carroll & O’Dea and Fatches Lawyers.

The merger unites 30 years of local service to the Port Stephens community with the skills, experience and reach of Carroll & O’Dea with extensive coverage in NSW and beyond.

The merger means Port Stephens will get the highest standard of legal experience, delivered locally in one of the fastest growing parts of NSW.

“This is a very important step for Carroll & O’Dea and underpins our commitment to providing high quality legal services across NSW”, said Managing Partner, Howard Harrison.

“The merger with Fatches means we will continue to deliver local experience developed over 30 years with the backing of Carroll & O’Dea’s expertise as a national firm.

“What that means for local clients is that they get the best of both worlds; a local office dealing with people you know and direct seamless access to the expertise and resources of one of the state premier legal firms.

“Our merger with Fatches aligns with our strategic direction to ensure we expand our reach in New South Wales, particularly in key regional centres.

“The merger will enable us to have a dedicated full time office in Port Stephens as well as strengthening our existing operation in Newcastle with the addition of the experienced and highly skilled Fatches team.

“I would like to welcome into the Carroll & O’Dea family all the lawyers and staff of Fatches who bring with them the same highly skilled, highly personal approach to the law that is a hallmark of the Carroll & O’Dea approach.

“It is a point of difference that our clients, particularly across regional and rural NSW, respond to and appreciate.

“Further, it enables us to provide the high quality services and access to legal advice that everyone should be entitled to, no matter where they live”, said Mr. Harrison.
