Dexter has a wealth of litigation experience in civil and criminal courts in this State. Dexter’s professional legal experience includes having held the position of Associate to his Honour Judge G.W. Neilson of the District Court of NSW between March 2006 to December 2010, as well as an employed solicitor commencing his legal practice since January 2011.
Dexter’s multi-disciplined legal practice includes advising and appearing as an advocate for his clients in the following areas: criminal law, industrial law, employment law, coronial inquests, and police compensation.
Dexter’s special area of expertise is in criminal law. Having completed a Master’s degree in this area, Dexter represents clients from all walks of life whether they have been issued a traffic infringement notice or a driver’s licence suspension, or are charged with assault or with more serious offences.
Dexter’s other area of expertise is in industrial and employment law. Dexter provides timely and sound advice and representation to clients who have been terminated from their employment, require an employment contract reviewed, or are NSW police officers who have been issued a complaint notice or a reviewable order pursuant to section 173 or section 181D of the Police Act 1990 (NSW).
Dexter also has many years of professional experience assisting NSW police officers with their compensation claims arising from injuries sustained whilst on duty and he has a proven track record of obtaining outstanding outcomes for his clients in this area of law.
