Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers appoints Hanaan Indari as Firm’s Managing Partner from 1 July 2020

Managing Partner of Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers, Howard Harrison, has announced Hanaan Indari will succeed him in the role effective 1st July 2020.
Hanaan Indari is currently the Firm’s Deputy Managing Partner appointed in 2017. Mr Harrison will be continuing as Partner.
“This is an appointment of which I and the entire Firm are rightly very proud of and I would like to extend my congratulations to Hanaan on behalf of the Firm”, said Mr Harrison.
“Hanaan Indari is an exceptional legal practitioner and is very much a part of the Firm’s DNA having begun her career here in 1997.
“She represents the values that have proven to be the sustaining strength of the Firm over the last 121 years – Excellence in legal skills, placing our clients at the core of what we do and embodying a culture that gives back to the community.
“Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers will be in very good hands with Hanaan as our new Managing Partner and I wish her every success in this important role”, said Mr Harrison.
“Since her appointment as the Firm’s first Deputy Managing Partner, I have always anticipated passing the baton to Hanaan and I know that she will lead the Firm with great skill and passion in the years ahead.
“We have resilience and a good plan for the future and a critical part of that is generational change throughout the Firm. We are currently managing our way through the COVID-19 pandemic as we have many prior unforeseen events over 121 years, including the Spanish Flu Pandemic.”
Ms Indari acknowledged the significant contribution made by Mr Harrison as Managing Partner over the last 14 years, as she embarks on her new role.
“I am very honoured to be taking on the role of Managing Partner and succeeding Howard who has been such a strong force in the development of the Firm over his tenure which has seen it grow to a team of 200 plus today”, said Ms Indari.
“Howard’s achievements in his time as Managing Partner are many including the expansion of the firm to become not only truly Sydney wide but also beyond with a network now servicing clients in Sydney CBD, Parramatta, Campbelltown, Newcastle, Raymond Terrace, Wollongong, Canberra, and Melbourne.
“He has also been central to forging a strong culture at the Firm based on excellence in legal services and client experience and delivering a diversity in service offerings across Compensation, Community & Associations, Business and Personal Law.
“The Firm has also benefited from his commitment to fostering thought leadership and excellence both within the Firm and with our peers and the community more broadly – the Tuesday speaker program being a key example of that in action.
“I am very honoured to be taking the baton from Howard and leading the Firm where I began my legal career”, said Ms. Indari.
