Opportunity Overview

We are currently seeking an undergraduate law student in their second or third year to join our Personal Injury Team, primarily focusing on Defendant Historical Institutional Abuse, at our Sydney office. This casual role will involve a variety of legal functions and administrative tasks, ideal for a candidate who thrives in a dynamic work environment and is eager to gain practical experience in a law firm setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with clients
  • Preparation of correspondence, court documents, statements, and subpoenas
  • Attending court proceedings and settlements
  • Conducting legal research and court filings as required
  • Managing extensive file and document organisation
  • Proactively addressing solicitor and client inquiries
  • Providing comprehensive support to professional staff within the team

Successful Candidates Will Possess

  • Completion of their second or third year of study in an Undergraduate University Law degree (essential)
  • Interest and/or prior experience in Personal Injury Law, specifically in defendant historical institutional abuse
  • Exceptional typing skills with keen attention to detail
  • Strong ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Confident, professional, and empathetic phone manner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook
