The opportunity:

We are currently seeking an experienced, confident and motivated lawyer with two to five years’ PAE to join our dynamic Retail Leasing team, based in our Sydney CBD office.

This full-time role will have you working closely with the Partner-in-charge on a diverse portfolio; Ideally we are looking for candidates with previous experience in the Commercial and Retail Leasing space, who are able to exercise autonomy and initiative and be accustomed to handling high volume workloads.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Direct liaison with clients, tenants and other relevant parties, providing accurate and timely advice
  • Preparing lease documentation, and general correspondence
  • Negotiating and advising client on lease terms
  • Managing a high volume leasing portfolio
  • Legal research
  • Occasional delegation of tasks to team Paralegals
  • Mentoring opportunities for junior team members

Successful candidates will have:

  • A valid NSW Practising Certificate
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ PAE in Commercial/Retail Leasing Law (preferred)
  • Demonstrated understanding of Commercial/Retail Leasing matters and procedures (essential)
  • Experience working within a high volume team
  • Demonstrated organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The demonstrated ability to prioritise work and manage competing deadlines
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
