We are in search of a proactive and motivated lawyer to join our dynamic Personal Injury law team. Located in our Melbourne CBD office, you will collaborate closely with Special Counsel, engaging in a mix of plaintiff personal injury and defendant litigation matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate autonomy and initiative, possess familiarity with standard processes in personal injury/historical abuse claims and exhibit a desire to forge and advance their career within our esteemed Firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct liaison with clients, providing accurate and timely advice
  • Preparation of Court documents/orders and general correspondence
  • Management of high-volume files and matters with occasional supervision
  • Attendance at court, dispute resolution, and settlements
  • Legal research

Successful candidates will have

  • A valid VIC Practising Certificate
  • Up to three (3) years’ experience in roles such as Clerk/Paralegal or Lawyer in Personal Injury/Litigation Law (essential)
  • A demonstrated understanding of personal injury matters and processes (preferred)
  • The ability to maintain client confidentiality and handle matters with sensitivity
  • Strong negotiation, mediation and advocacy skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong client relationship and business development skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and manage competing deadlines
  • Musical ability and/or a sense of humour will be considered favourably
