The Opportunity:
We are seeking an undergraduate law student to join our Employment Law Team in our Sydney office.
In this casual role (two/three days per week) supporting the employment team, you will engage in diverse legal functions and administrative tasks. It is ideal for candidates who thrive in a dynamic and bustling work environment, are familiar with the FWC, legislation and WHS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising with clients
- Preparation of correspondence, court documents, statements, and subpoenas
- Attending court and settlements
- Legal research and court filing as required
- Extensive file and document management
- Proactively managing solicitor and client requests/inquiries
- Providing high-level support to professional staff within the team
Successful Candidates Will Have:
- Completed their second year of study in their Undergraduate University Law degree (preferred)
- Excellent typing skills with a high attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise work and manage competing deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident, professional, and empathetic phone manner
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook skills
