Law Clerk – Hobart

About the Role

We are currently seeking an undergraduate Law Clerk to join our Personal Injury Team, at our Hobart office. The ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for personal injury, is eager to obtain practical legal experience and mentorship from our Hobart based accredited specialist lawyer, and who is interested in developing their career at our fast-growing Hobart practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaising with clients
  • Preparation of correspondence, court documents, statements, and subpoenas
  • Attending court proceedings and settlements
  • Conducting legal research and court filings as required
  • Managing extensive file and document organisation
  • Proactively addressing solicitor and client inquiries

Successful Candidates Will Possess

  • Currently studying for or have completed the torts unit of their Undergraduate University Law Degree
  • Interest and/or prior experience in Personal Injury Law
  • Strong ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Confident, professional, and empathetic phone manner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook
