Current Practice James
Govan is a respected practitioner in the area of litigation and dispute
resolution. Known for his strong negotiation skills, James
conducts matters mainly for individual plaintiffs, and shows a high

responsible for Wollongong office, where he is now based and is

Professional Experience James
was admitted into legal practice in 1995 and he practised as a lawyer
at several specialist litigation firms in Sydney for a period of seven
years before joining Carroll & O'Dea in 2002. In December
2005 he became an Associate. James has conducted many high
profile and complex litigation claims. James is an experienced
advocate appearing regularly in various jurisdictions and representing
clients at settlement conferences, conciliations and arbitrations.
Professional Background James
holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree from Wollongong University and
graduated law through the Sydney University Solicitors Admission Board
course. James is a committed member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance.
