First Speaker for 2014 – Dr Don Weatherburn, Director of the NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research

Dr Don Weatherburn, Director of the NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research, will be our first guest speaker for our 2014 Tuesday Lunchtime Seminar program.
Dr Weatherburn will be talking about “tough on crime” policies and whether they really work based on his extensive research into crime statistics over the years.
With all the controversy around the new one-punch laws for drunken assaults, and the package of other changes announced by government to combat alcohol fuelled violence Dr Weatherburn’s talk should provide us with some valuable insights.
