Vale Michael William Concannon: much respected former Partner at Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers for 40 years

Managing Partner of Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers, Hanaan Indari, has paid tribute to former partner Michael William Concannon who passed away recently.
“Quite simply, Michael Concannon was not just a legend of Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers but indeed a giant of the legal profession”, said Ms Indari.
“Michael held an outstanding reputation in the profession for many decades and was very well respected by Judges, barristers, his colleagues and opponents.
“I know his family, peers, colleagues and friends will be mourning his loss deeply.
“A brilliant, compassionate yet tenacious lawyer, Michael acted for thousands of clients in his forty year career at the firm.
“He helped so many people in great need and I’m sure changed lives in the process.
“His entire career, as a Partner and then consultant, was at Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers and his legacy continues today with his son Tim Concannon who is a Partner and expert in workers compensation.
“Michael was a wonderful man of great integrity, very decent, ethical, humble, loyal and with a strong devotion to his family, wife Jan, 5 children and grandchildren.
“I was honoured to have worked closely for many years under Michael when I started at the firm, and I’m honoured he moved my admission.
“He was a great mentor to me and many in the firm including many of our current and former Partners.
“To his wife Jan, Tim, and his children and grandchildren, on behalf of the firm I want to express our sincere condolences and our profound thanks to them for sharing Michael with us”, said Ms Indari.
