Carroll and O’Dea Managing Partner, Howard Harrison, has recently returned from the 2014 Primerus Global Conference held over October 9 to 12 in Monterey California.

As part of the conference, a question and answer International Session was held during which Carroll and O’Dea provided information on key legal topics on Australian Law including:

Trademark/patent registration duration/process and whether your jurisdiction has signed worldwide treaty, licence agreement;

Company set up (process, specific requirements such as local director, registered address, minimum capital injection, etc.); and

Commercial contracts (arbitration, language, key terms, pitfalls).

In relation to the intellectual property law section, Carroll & O’Dea prepared and distributed an information brochure providing a summary of Australian Intellectual Property law matters in relation to some of the following:

(b)    Registration of Intellectual Property Rights in Australia
(c)    Enforcement Intellectual Property Rights in Australia
