The Opportunity: 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our Leasing team in Syndey, supporting Anthony Herro, one of Australia’s leading retail and commercial leasing lawyers.

This is a career-enhancing opportunity for an experience Legal Assistant who enjoys working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and wants to be involved in complex retail and commercial leasing matters. You will work closely with the team, playing an integral role in supporting high-quality legal services to a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities will include: 

·       Providing high-level legal and administrative support to the Leasing & Property team

·       Drafting, formatting and preparing leasing documentation, correspondence and legal documents

·       Managing client communications and acting as a key point of contact throughout matters

·       Diary, email and calendar management

·       Coordinating meetings, mediations and travel arrangements

·       File management, matter opening and closing, conflict checks and document filing

·       Liaising with landlords, tenants, property managers, agents and other stakeholders

·       Assisting with billing, time entry and monthly invoicing processes

·       Supporting the Leasing & Property team to ensure matters progress efficiently and key deadlines are met

·       Providing general legal administrative support to the team as required

Successful candidates will have: 

·       3-5+ years’ experience as a Legal Assistant within a commercial property and/or leasing practice

·       Demonstrated experience supporting lawyers in retail and commercial leasing matters

·       A sound understanding of leasing terminology, processes and documentation

·       Excellent attention to detail and the ability to consistently prepare professional legal documentation

·       Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities

·       A proactive approach with the confidence to work autonomously

·       Outstanding communication and client service skills

·       Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365

·       Experience using legal practice management and billing systems
